| Product concept |
| Improving yields is the principal challenge for the rice community internationally. Hybrid rice seed enable farmers to achieve significant yield improvements over open-pollinated or ‘inbred’ varieties. Rice hybrids have the potential to yield significantly more than the best inbred varieties grown in similar conditions. Hybrid rice has also proven to be more hardy in adverse growing conditions, especially in unfavourable soil and climatic conditions. |
